Everything you need to deploy and run your apps on DARK SHAN PANEL — from your first deploy to day-to-day operations.
Introduction
DARK SHAN PANEL is a cloud hosting panel that turns your GitHub repositories into live, running applications — without servers, SSH or complicated setup. You connect GitHub, pick a repo, and we build and run it on managed cloud dynos.
It's ideal for APIs, web apps, background workers and schedulers. You pay for simple one-time hosting plans instead of monthly subscriptions, so you're never billed for time you don't use.
Quick Start
- Go to the sign-in page and choose Continue with GitHub.
- Authorize the DARK SHAN PANEL GitHub App when GitHub asks — this lets the panel read your repositories and set up deploy webhooks.
- Open Billing from the sidebar and choose a hosting plan (the $0.76 Starter is perfect for your first app).
- Back on the Dashboard, click New Deployment, choose a repository and branch, review the detected settings and press Deploy.
- Watch the live build log — when it says Live, your app is running.
Tip: keep your repository's main branch clean and include a Procfile or a clear start command (npm start, python app.py) so build detection works first time.

Each deployment creates a cloud app attached to one of your GitHub repositories:
- Repository & branch — pick any repo your GitHub account can access.
- App name — auto-checked for availability as you type.
- Region & dyno size — choose where your app runs and how much power it gets.
- Environment variables — the panel scans your code and suggests the variables it finds (see below).
After deploying you can redeploy any commit, roll back to a previous release, or enable auto-deploy so every push to your branch goes live automatically.
Environment Variables
Most apps need secrets — bot tokens, API keys, database URLs. During deployment the panel scans your repo (including .env files and process.env / os.environ usage) and pre-fills the keys it detects, so you only have to paste the values.
- Variables are stored encrypted and injected at runtime.
- You can edit them later under your app's Config Vars — changes restart the app.
- Never commit real secrets to GitHub; use the panel's config vars instead.
Security: anyone with your token can control your bot or app. If a token leaks, revoke it immediately and set a new one in your app's config vars.
Managing Apps
From the dashboard's app detail view you can:
- Stream logs — live runtime and build logs with sensitive values redacted.
- Restart & scale — restart dynos or change their size/count in one click.
- Domains — attach custom domains to your app.
- Rollback — jump back to any previous release instantly.
- Files — browse and edit your workspace from the built-in file manager.
- Delete — remove an app and free its slot (server time already used is not returned).
Plans & Usage
Each plan is a one-time purchase that includes cloud hosting time and unlocks a number of app slots. Plans are valid for 30 days — unused time expires when the plan window ends.
| Plan | Price | App hours (Basic) | App slots | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0.76 (≈ Rs. 250) | 722 | 1 | 30 days |
| Hobby | $5.00 (≈ Rs. 1650) | 3611 | 3 | 30 days |
| Pro | $10.00 (≈ Rs. 3300) | 7222 | 6 | 30 days |
| Business | $25.00 (≈ Rs. 8250) | 18056 | 12 | 30 days |
Hourly usage rates
App time is measured per hour, relative to the Basic server size (Basic = 1×):
| Server size | Usage per hour |
|---|---|
| Basic / Eco | 1× |
| Standard-1X | 2.5× |
| Standard-2X | 5× |
When your plan's remaining time can't cover the next full hour, the app is paused (scaled to zero) — topping up automatically resumes it. Unused time expires at the end of each plan's 30-day window.
Payments
Buying a plan is a one-time card payment — there are no automatic renewals:
- Open Billing in the panel and choose a plan.
- Pay securely with Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Payments are processed by our licensed, PCI-DSS compliant payment-gateway partners.
- Your plan time is applied to your account the moment the payment succeeds — you'll see it immediately.
Your card details are entered on the payment gateway's secure page and never touch our servers. If a payment succeeds but your plan time doesn't appear, contact us with your order ID and we'll fix it right away. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
FAQ
My build failed — what now?
Open the app's logs — the build log shows the exact error. Usually it's a missing start command or dependency. Fix the repo, then press Redeploy.
My app went to sleep. Why?
Your plan ran out of hosting time. Top up from Billing — paused apps resume automatically after a successful top-up.
Can I get my money back?
Unused plans are refundable within 7 days of purchase — see the Refund Policy.
